01 shapeshifters and monsters

>shapeshifters< can be places, bodies or states in transition: a vacant building being reclaimed; a demolition that marks both loss and beginning; in-between spaces that resist fixed definitions. they embody transformation itself—movement, adaptation and re-formation. perhaps a shapeshifter is a place that is only just beginning to invent itself.

>monsters< may be what escapes comprehension, or what has grown too large to ignore: vast infrastructures, overwhelming systems, material and social concentrations or displacements, but also spiritual stories. they reveal the moments where something tips, spills over or slips away. perhaps a monster is also a system that no one can fully grasp anymore.
