about

morph magazine is a newly founded, student-initiated and student-run magazine at the intersection of urbanism, culture and current affairs. an open space for everyone: to experiment, discuss, reveal and unfold. rooted in the context of hcu hamburg, yet intentionally reaching beyond it, it is an invitation to students, researchers, educators, architects, artists, writers, activists, and everyone who engages—or wants to engage—with the city, space and society in all their transformations.

we want to morph our different perspectives on the built city and its society, opening up new ways of seeing and making connections visible. a magazine that never closes itself off, but continuously shifts, expands and reassembles.

>shapeshifters< and >monsters< is the theme of our first issue. together, these two figures stand in for everything that has already transformed—or is still in the process of transforming. through them, we want to engage with the challenges of the built city and the societies that inhabit it. what belongs to us? and what can be reclaimed?
